TNPSC Group 1 Exam
TNPSC(Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission ) has handled the job of giving employment to persons in various services of the State Government of Tamil Nadu which also involves the State, Subordinate and Ministerial Services. TNPSC exams are divided into four groups mainly group 1, 2 3 and 4 and there are separate exams for each.
Group 1 exams do not have a specific syllabus nor do they have a fixed number of questions from a particular subject or topic. Sometimes there have been 30 questions in economics while sometime the number of questions has dipped to 10.So prediction of questions is extremely difficult for the group 1 exams.
A thorough knowledge of everything that you have studied from the sixth standard to the tenth standard is required to crack the group 1 exam. Expert guidance is required along with studying of board books. Special stress should be given on science, Indian constitution, Indian economy and social sciences.
The group 1 exam papers include all types of topics such as general knowledge, general sciences, history, geography and Tamil culture and heritage. The paper on general knowledge includes questions covering the following fields of knowledge-general science, current events of regional, national and international importance, history and culture, geography, polity, economy, National Movement of India and Tamil Nadu in particular and freedom struggle..
Questions on general science cover general appreciation and understanding of science, including matters of every day observation and experience. In history, emphasis is laid on a broad and general understanding of the subject in its social, economic, political aspects. There are also questions on Tamil, Tamil Nadu, Language and Literature, culture and heritage of its people and on geography of India.
There is also a general mental ability test which includes analysis of classified data, logical and behavioural reasoning, analogies, school arithmetic, and numerical ability and basic concepts of computers. Some options of training courses for group 1 exam is RC Reddy which has course duration of one year and costs around thirty thousand.
